Some of my proudest student nursing moments
Since my first contact with haemodialysis in 2003, my dedication to dialysis has been unwavering, and my primary goal in becoming a nurse was to become a dialysis nurse. As a nursing student, I channelled my efforts into gaining a deep understanding of chronic kidney disease, which was reflected in a series of assignments and activities developed throughout the course that aimed to enrich my scientific knowledge and play an active role in promoting the greatest possible well-being of this population.
Erasmus Curricular Internship 2017/2018 - Badajoz, Spain
It was an enriching academic year, with internships at the Hospital Materno Infantil, Hospital Infanta Dona Cristina and the Badajoz Health Centre. But it was the opportunity to work as a trainee in a dialysis care unit (for around four months) that allowed me to confirm my previous aspirations when I enrolled on the nursing degree - to become a dialysis nurse. Following this passage, I did my final work in a field of work (above) that is very close to my heart, and once again, aimed at patients undergoing renal replacement therapy in haemodialysis.
